What does Datadory deliver from Equinor?

Two cataloged collections, both releases of the same asset. The Volve Open Field Dataset packages roughly 100 GB across five families - daily per-well production, LAS/DLIS well logs, SEG-Y seismic, RMS reservoir models and PVT analysis. The Equinor Volve Open Field Dataset sizes the same release at roughly 40,000 files and adds WITSML drilling streams, wellheaders and operations reports.

Which wells and years does Equinor's Volve coverage include?

Coverage follows the Volve development in block 15/9 of the Norwegian North Sea, wells carrying the 15/9 prefix typical of the block. Production began in 2008 and ceased before the 2018 release; logs, seismic, drilling streams and models all fall inside the same field-lifetime window, making it a closed historical record.

Why do machine-learning papers use this Equinor field so often?

Because it is real, complete and shared. Production forecasting, water-breakthrough and automated log interpretation all need ground truth at input and output - Volve supplies measured logs, seismic and models beside actual produced volumes, so results are reproducible and comparable across studies in a way proprietary fields never allow.
