Straight answers about EUROCONTROL data
What does Datadory deliver from EUROCONTROL?
One collection, filed under Aerospace & Defense: the Aviation Data & Dashboard set. It combines a network analytics layer - flight-count evolution curves, top-40 airline and airport rankings, CODA passenger-delay analyses and ATFM delay breakdowns by IATA delay code - with a statistical layer of more than twenty named series on traffic, delays, emissions, efficiency and air-navigation costs.
Which series are in the statistical layer?
Gate-to-gate CO2, NOx and SOx emissions by market segment and flight phase; CO2 by state computed with the Small Emitters Tool; en-route IFR flights and ATFM delays on area and flight-information-region bases; horizontal flight efficiency; airport traffic; ASMA additional time; taxi-in and taxi-out times; pre-departure delays; ATFM slot adherence; traffic complexity; ACE operational and ANSP financial lines; and en-route charging unit rates from CRCO.
How far back does the history reach?
Staggered by series. CO2-by-state begins January 2010. En-route IFR flights and ATFM delays begin January 2011 on an area basis, with the flight-information-region basis added in 2013. Horizontal flight efficiency runs from 2014, airport traffic from January 2016, and the modelled gate-to-gate emissions table spans January 2019 through December 2024.
What does a single emissions row record?
Twelve fields: LEVEL, AREA, FOCUS_TYPE, YEAR, MONTH, MARKET_SEGMENT, FLIGHT_TYPE, FLIGHT_PHASE, NB_FLIGHTS, CO2_TONS, NOX_KG and SOX_KG. One worked example Datadory verified during cataloging: a NETWORK-level ECAC cruise row for business aviation in January 2019 records 3,247 flights and 26,607.3 tonnes of CO2.
