All 33 EU energy-label product groups. Observed volumes reach 55,757 refrigerating appliances (2019 group), 32,523 air conditioners, 27,231 domestic ovens, 23,178 washing machines (2019) and 14,227 dishwashers (2019), alongside tumble dryers, range hoods, lamps, displays, heating products, professional refrigeration, tyres and smartphones.
Why is the registry considered authoritative?
Because registration is compulsory: EU law requires suppliers to register every labelled model before placing it on the market. That makes the registry the EU-wide master list of regulated appliance models, not a voluntary pool - coverage is complete by construction rather than by participation.
How far back does the data reach?
To 2011 for legacy-label models, with rescaled groups joining between 2019 and 2021 as the A-G label took over from the pluses. Every record carries its own publication date plus on-market start and end windows, so historical shelves can be reconstructed at any point.
How accurate is the energy data?
Authoritative in scope, declared in origin. Values are filed by suppliers at registration, so treat energy class and consumption as the manufacturer's own record of claim - the honest baseline for compliance checks and for comparisons against metered consumption.
