Straight answers about Green Seal data
What does the Green Seal collection in Datadory's catalog contain?
One registry, cut two ways. The building-products slice carries 28 GS-11 certified paints, coatings, stains and sealers inside a roughly 360-company certified index; the environmental and facilities services slice carries the same registry widened to about two dozen category paths - cleaners, hand care, laundry, floor care, sanitary paper - plus GS-42 certified cleaning facilities.
What is the difference between GS-11, GS-37 and GS-42?
Three standards from one certifier. GS-11 covers paints, coatings, stains and sealers against VOC limits, prohibited carcinogens and reproductive toxins, and performance requirements. GS-37 covers industrial and institutional cleaning products. GS-42 certifies the cleaning services operation itself rather than a chemical.
Does each Green Seal record carry the exact standard edition?
Yes. Records name the edition a product cleared - Edition 3.2 versus Edition 4.0 of GS-11, Edition 7.8 of GS-37 - which turns edition-matching against a written specification into a filter instead of a judgment call.
Does the registry include withdrawn certifications?
No. Coverage is current certifications only, each stamped with a certified-since year - 2014 through 2023 in verified rows. Lapsed certificates leave without an archive trail, so first-certification years support adoption timing while exit tracking needs scheduled deliveries that build the history.
