Straight answers about International Trade Centre (ITC) data
What ITC data does Datadory deliver?
One catalog dataset: Trade Map — International Trade Centre Bilateral Trade Statistics, filed under Apparel, Accessories & Luxury Goods and scoring 9 out of 10 on quality. It spans bilateral merchandise trade across roughly 220 reporting territories and about 5,300 HS6 products, with values, quantities, unit values, tariffs and multi-year growth.
Which HS chapters cover apparel in Trade Map?
Nine: HS 61 knitted clothing, HS 62 woven clothing, HS 63 home textiles and used clothing, HS 64 footwear, HS 65 headgear, HS 66 umbrellas, HS 67 feathers and artificial flowers, HS 42 leather goods, and HS 71 precious metals and jewellery. Each chapter drills to 4- and 6-digit lines with partner-level breakdowns on every corridor.
How far back does ITC data go?
Annual series generally start in 2001, and 2025 observations were present during our August 2026 research. Quarterly and monthly series exist for many reporters, so a corridor can carry twenty-plus years of yearly history alongside recent months. Exact depth varies because each territory publishes its own span.
Does the data include tariff readings?
Yes, through a TAR indicator carrying the applied tariff for a country-product line, sitting beside potential-trade, concentration and distance measures. Expect gaps: the tested US import line for HS 610910 cotton t-shirts returned no tariff record because none applies to that corridor. Verify presence corridor by corridor.
