How many syndicates are active in the 2026 Year of Account?
104 active market-facing syndicates appear on the list dated as at 5 August 2026, each carrying its syndicate number, three-letter pseudonym (HIS for Hiscox Syndicate 0033), participation status, full name, managing agent and Lloyd's Europe CSN. Companion records carry additional central settlement numbers beyond the core 104.
How far back do per-syndicate accounts go?
To years ending 31 December 2014, with more than 100 syndicates filing their own reports and accounts annually ever since. Headline market results for 2023, 2024 and 2025 were visible at the August 2026 capture, and a financial results archive holds the market's earlier history.
Can one syndicate be compared against the market average?
Yes, and that pairing is the point of keeping both layers together. Each syndicate's own accounts sit alongside the market-wide print - so a syndicate running above or below the 87.6% combined ratio the market posted for 2025 is visible directly rather than argued from anecdote.
Do I need the Market Directory, the financial performance collection, or both?
They answer different questions. The Directory is identity: who participates, under which classes and territories, behind which managing agent.
