How many Network Rail datasets does Datadory deliver?
One - Network Rail Data Feeds - but it resolves into two requestable layers: the continuously flowing event group covering movements, restrictions, late schedules and punctuality, and the reference group covering the timetable, locations, berth offsets and network model. Each can be sampled and delivered separately, on a daily, weekly or hourly cadence.
Can individual trains really be tracked through the network?
Yes. TD reports each step a train makes between signalling berths, MOVEMENT carries the corresponding movement events, and SMART's berth offsets tie those steps back to named locations via CORPUS codes - enough to follow a single service across the GB mainline rather than averaging it into a route-level statistic.
What is RTPPM and why does it matter?
RTPPM is the public performance measure: the percentage of trains arriving at their destination on time, published at operator and sector level. It is the number GB rail performance debates are actually argued over, measured by the infrastructure manager itself - which makes it the benchmark for punctuality analysis rather than a marketing claim.
How far does the timetable coverage go?
SCHEDULE covers every scheduled Great Britain service for the planning period - hundreds of thousands of records - refreshed daily through full extracts plus update extracts, with VSTP capturing late-created schedules the planned file never saw. Together they give both the plan and the amendments against which actual performance is judged.
