Straight answers about Data from USDA Foreign Agricultural Service, delivered clean. data

What does Datadory deliver from USDA Foreign Agricultural Service?

Two scored datasets: USDA FAS PSD Online, the Production, Supply and Distribution balances covering 63 commodities across 214 countries from market year 1960 through the 2026 forecast, and the Global Agricultural Trade System (GATS), monthly US agricultural exports, imports and re-exports at HS-10 detail against roughly 200 partner countries.

Which commodities do the PSD Online balances cover?

Grains including wheat, corn, rice, barley, sorghum and millet; oilseeds, meals and vegetable oils from soybean through palm and olive; cotton; sugar; coffee split Arabica and Robusta; dairy; livestock, meat and poultry; fresh and processed fruit; and tree nuts - area, yield, production, trade, stocks and consumption attributes for each.

How far back does the data go?

PSD Online market years start in 1960 and run through the current forecast year, 2026 - sixty-six harvests on one attribute vocabulary. The GATS monthly Census series is verified back through 2010 with deeper history reachable through the query surface, and the UN ComTrade layer adds annual HS-6 records by reporter country.

Can a sample be cut to specific commodities, countries or years?

Yes. Name them - Argentine soybeans from 1996, wheat balances for the Black Sea exporters, monthly beef exports to Japan since 2015 - and the sample arrives shaped to exactly that cut, with the field dictionary and coverage notes attached before any commitment.
