Both report pounds, but they measure different things - a plant can post large volumes with small releases or the reverse. Keep the two series separate in any model and state which one a number came from.

Does CDR include company and location detail?

Yes. Each record identifies standardized foreign or domestic parent companies with Dun & Bradstreet numbers, individual manufacture or import sites with name, address, latitude/longitude, EPA Facility Registry ID and NAICS code, plus chemical identity by CAS Registry Number or accession number. That makes it the most comprehensive public source for mapping who makes which chemical where in the United States.

What is the difference between CDR and TRI data?

CDR reports how much of a chemical a company manufactures or imports, in pounds, every four years at site level. TRI reports what facilities release to air, water and land or transfer off-site, annually at facility-by-chemical level back to 1987. They answer different questions and should stay separate in any model even though both units are pounds.
