One hundred fields per row at one row per facility, chemical and reporting year: facility name with TRIFD and FRS identifiers, geocoded location and parent company, chemical name with CAS number and carcinogen, PBT and PFAS flags, release routes split into fugitive air, stack air, water, underground injection and landfill, plus off-site transfers, recycling, energy recovery and treatment totals.

The EPA Chemical Data Reporting rule. Collected every four years since 1986, its 2024 cycle covers reporting years 2020 through 2023 and roughly 8,650 chemicals, each reported per manufacturing or import site with production volume ranges, site location, worker exposure counts and industrial, commercial and consumer use categories.

Twenty-one records serve this industry: seventeen primaries plus four cross-listed neighbors. The primary set spans the EPA's facility-release and production-volume programs, monthly Census trade flows, USGS feedstock chapters, European benchmarks from Cefic, Eurostat, VCI and the UK CIA, and a machine-learning sub-cluster of plant telemetry and compound corpora.

TRI's facility-level releases start at reporting year 1987, giving nearly four decades of environmental history, and the CDR program has collected every four years since 1986. The shortest windows belong to the modern classifications: the S&P 1500 Diversified Chemicals index opens in October 2012.
