How many jurisdictions does the producer database cover?
All fifty states, the District of Columbia and four US territories - fifty-five-plus jurisdictions consolidated into one warehouse that every state regulator contributes to. A producer's multi-state footprint reads off one record instead of fifty separate lookups.
Why does the National Producer Number matter so much?
It is assigned once and stays with the producer for life. Unlike a state license number, an NPN survives moves between states and carriers, so a decade of a producer's career resolves to one identifier - the precondition for entity resolution, appointment-churn analysis and multi-state footprint counts.
Are terminations included, or only active licenses?
Terminations ride on the same record as appointments, as dated events rather than overwritten flags: who appointed whom, who ended it, and when. Compliance teams reconciling appointment books and competitive teams mapping distribution networks both depend on exactly that event grain.
